Description
Casa San Rafael is an elegant, spacious, well appointed home with spectacular views of San Miguel de Allende and the Parrochia. Beautiful and comfortable indoor and outdoor garden spaces and terrazas make hanging out at home just as enticing as exploring all that San Miguel has to offer. The terrazas offer unbeatable views of the frequent downtown firework displays, but is far enough to offer a little more peace and quiet. The furniture and art in the home lend an air of tranquility and calm.
Guests have the entire main house, but there may be other guests in the attached- but seperate- Casita. Guests also have access to the 3rd story rooftop terrace with a stunning 360degree view, which may be shared with Casita guests.
We do not live in San Miguel regularly, and have made arrangements with a company to welcome guests and handle any questions or issues during their stay. We are available by email through AirBnB to help plan your visit and make arrangements.
Colonia San Rafael is a mixed neighborhood of Mexicans and ex-pats. It is a 15-20 minute walk or easy cab ride into the main downtown area and Jardin. Several friendly tiendas (small markets) are only a minute walk away, in another minute you can find hot breakfast tamales on the street corner, and in a few more minutes a full open market A well equipped yet inexpensive friendly local gym is less than a 5 minute walk away. It has bikes, treadmills, weight machines, and pool.
Downtown San Miguel is a 15-20 minute walk from Casa San Rafael. Cabs are easy to hail on the main street a few minutes walk away, or can be called on the phone for a pick up at the front door.
It is easy to take a shuttle from the airports in Leon, Guanajuato, and Mexico City directly to door of Casa San Rafael through the company Bajio Go. *Check-in after 5pm is possible for an additional fee, and early check-in may be as well depending on previous occupancy.
A lovely one bedroom Casita is attached but separate from the main home and depending on availability, these can be rented together. The Casita has its own kitchen, living area and porch.
